• 1. Sometimes bad smells from your sink can come from food debris trapped in the waste pipe. The acidic nature of vinegar combined with baking soda creates an energetic foam action that will help break down any congealed fat in the waste pipe.
  • 2. Pour half a cup of baking soda down the plughole.
  • 3. Pour a cup full of white vinegar down the plughole and leave for 30 minutes.
  • 4. Allow the solution to foam up and leave it to stand for a few hours.
  • 5. Once the blockage has cleared, wait for 5 minutes and pour a saucepan full of boiling water down the plughole to flush through the waste pipe system.
