There are a number of reasons that your clothing could be getting damaged during a wash cycle, here a few examples but always check the user manual for specific recommendations on your appliance.
- 1. The machine may have been overloaded causing garments to get trapped between the door seal and the drum which creates friction when the machine starts to spin. See the “Loading to the machine capacity” topic and check the user manual for your washing machines particular loading guidelines.
Check you are using the correct programme. Different wash cycle programmes are designed to care for specific garment types, using the wrong programme could result in damage to your washing.
Check you are using the right detergent for your clothes. Biological washing powders contain enzymes that break help to break down organic stains. These enzymes will also attack natural products (such as wool and silks) and result in damage and deterioration to garments.
- If the above actions haven’t rectified your issue or you don’t feel confident to undertake them please go to our on-line repair booking page to arrange an engineer visit — https://www.domesticandgeneral.com/repairs.
If you have misplaced or lost your user manual, you can download a replacement manual (please have your model number to hand).
