Cleaning the door seal

Keeping the door seals clean and free from debris is important for maintenance of your appliance. Check the condition of your door seals regularly. A damaged or ineffective door seal will not only waste energy, but can lead to health and safety issues and improperly cooked food.

Note: Woven gasket seals should not be cleaned, they can be damaged if you get them wet.

Warning: Always switch off the cookerʼs electrical supply at the mains switch before beginning this type of work and always make sure that your cooker has completely cooled down before starting any maintenance or cleaning.

1. Leave the door seal in place when cleaning. Door seals can easily damaged and difficult to replace effectively.

2. Using a damp cloth or sponge, regularly wipe the door seal clean to remove any spills or debris.
