Cleaning technique

Please make sure you follow these instructions fully. If you have any problems with carrying out this maintenance, please contact us.

It is important to keep your hood clean, as grease and debris can build up adversely effecting its performance. There are a few different techniques and cleaning substances that can be used to effectively and safely clean the cooker hood. Never use steam cleaners or pressure cleaners on the appliance and only use approved cleaning products.

Check for specific details on your appliance in the user manual, but the steps below will give you general guidance.

1. Ensure all mains power to the hood is switched off before cleaning.

2. Anodised aluminium
Wash with hot, soapy water or mild detergents and cleaning agents. Then rinse and dry.

Do not use any powdered or abrasive cleaners, scrubbing pads, or steel wool pads.

3. Painted surfaces
Wash with hot soapy water, rinse and then dry.

Do not use powder cleaning agents, steel wool pads, oven cleaners or other abrasive cleaning materials.

4. Plastic surfaces
Wipe clean with a damp, soapy sponge or cloth, then rinse and dry

5. Stainless steel
When cleaning stainless steel, wipe with the grain. Only use mild, non-abrasive cleaning agents or stainless steel cleaners with a soft cloth. Wipe dry to avoid water marks.

Warning: Some stainless steel cleaners are known to have negative effects when used on anything other than stainless steel. Only use these cleaners on the stainless steel components!
