Beko Fridges and Freezers

Cleaning the back of your appliance

Please make sure you follow these instructions fully. If you have any problems with carrying out this maintenance, please contact us.

Always make sure that you switch off the electric supply to your ‘fridge freezer before you start any maintenance.

The back of the appliance may collect dust over time; keeping the condenser coils clean and dust free allows proper air movement around the coils. This will help efficient transfer of heat away from the appliance meaning it runs properly and more efficiently. Always check the user manual for any specific recommendations regarding your appliance.

1.

Turn off the appliance at the mains and unplug.

2.

Pull the appliance away from the wall to gain access to its rear. Try to minimise the movement of the appliance so that the internal gases do not become shaken up.

Take care: the appliance might be heavy, so you may need some help to move it.

3.

Locate the condenser coils.

4.

Using a vacuum cleaner on medium power, with a brush attachment, carefully remove the dust build up from the condenser coils.

5.

Re-position the appliance correctly.

Take care: the appliance might be heavy, so you may need some help to move it. For more information, see the “Correct Positioning” topic.

6.

Plug back in to the mains and switch on.

If you have misplaced or lost your user manual, you can download a replacement manual (please have your model number to hand).
