Modern washer dryers are designed to use less water, which means the appliance launders the clothes more, this can result in longer wash cycles. Some newer washer dryers are designed to give optimum wash results whilst also reducing the impact on the environment by using the minimum required amount of water and energy.

Always check the user manual for details of your specific appliance, but the steps below will give you some general guidance.

You can also see our ‘How to…’ videos, which include some general advice on adjusting the feet of an appliance (double-click the video to view it ‘full screen’).
  • 1. For approximate programme times, please see the user manual for your specific washer dryer.
  • 2. It is possible that the load detection system has detected an unbalanced wash load, the machine will then attempt to correct this by redistributing the load during the wash cycle. You will get best results by washing large and small items together to prevent this issue occurring. Refer to the user manual for your machine for guidance on correct loading and also see the “Loading to your machines washing capacity” and “Loading to your machines drying capacity” topics.
  • If the above actions haven’t rectified your issue or you don’t feel confident to undertake them please go to our on-line repair booking page to arrange an engineer visit — https://www.domesticandgeneral.com/repairs.

If you have misplaced or lost your user manual, you can download a replacement manual (please have your model number to hand).
