The room steams up whilst my dryer is in use
- Please make sure you follow these instructions fully. If you have any problems with carrying out this maintenance, please contact us.
The dryer must be installed in an area so that when it is in use there is adequate ventilation to prevent the room steaming up from the warm, damp air produced during a drying cycle. Always check the instructions in the user manual for details of this for your specific dryer, here is some general guidance.
You can also see our ‘How to…’ videos, which include some general advice on adjusting the feet of an appliance (double-click the video to view it ‘full screen’). - 1. Try not to use your dryer in a confined space. Dryers need a good supply of cool air to work properly and effectively. If it is installed in a confined space such as a small room with windows closed or the vent pipe not correctly fitted, the walls may get damp and moisture will appear on windows. For best results use the machine in a well ventilated room. Also see the topic, ”The best location for installation“.
