The dryer drum intermittently turns after programme has finished
- Please make sure you follow these instructions fully. If you have any problems with carrying out this maintenance, please
contact us.
Always check the user manual for details on your specific dryer, but this guide will give you some general advice.
You can also see our ‘How to…’ videos, which include some general advice on adjusting the feet of an appliance (double-click the video to view it ‘full screen’). - 1. If you have selected one of the ‘auto sense’ programmes which are a feature on some dryers, the appliance will automatically end the drying cycle when the clothes are dry. To prevent them from creasing, the drum will occasionally turn until you open the door or switch the machine off.
This may look like the machine is running continuously but it is a very energy efficient way of reducing creases in the garments and is not a fault with the machine.
- If the above actions haven’t rectified your issue or you don’t feel confident to undertake them please go to our on-line repair booking page to arrange an engineer visit — https://www.domesticandgeneral.com/repairs.
If you have misplaced or lost your user manual, you can download a replacement manual (please have your model number to hand).
