Connecting the power supply

Before switching on the appliance, ensure you have allowed it to settle for a while after being unpacked and that it has been levelled. For more information see the “Resting prior to operating” and “Adjusting the feet” topics.
Always check the user manual for any specific recommendations for your appliance. - 1. Before connecting your appliance to the electricity supply for the first time, clean all compartments shelves and accessories well with lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda.

Make sure that the electrical cable is not trapped under or behind the appliance where it may get crushed or damaged. Insert the plug into the socket and switch on.
To confirm the appliance has power, check that the internal light in the fridge compartment turns on when you open the door. You should also hear a gentle humming from the appliance as it works to get the temperatures correct. - 3. Turn the temperature adjustment knob (thermostat) to an average temperature (for example,turn it to 3, or about midway on the dial to start with).

Leave the appliance for a couple of hours to reach best temperature and you will be able load the fridge and freezer compartments.
