If food in your freezer is defrosting, there may be a simple issue affecting the applianceʼs performance. Check the steps below for general guidance, but see the user manual for specific details on your appliance. - 1. Check the temperature of the area around the appliance
If the temperature of the room the appliance is located is below 10°C the fridge may not operate and the freezer will start to defrost.
Check the power is still on
If the appliance has been disconnected from the power or the power supply has been disconnected, then the food in the freezer will defrost.
Check the door seals
Check there is no debris or anything else stopping the door from closing properly. - If the above actions haven’t rectified your issue or you don’t feel confident to undertake them please go to our on-line repair booking page to arrange an engineer visit — https://www.domesticandgeneral.com/repairs.
If you have misplaced or lost your user manual, you can download a replacement manual (please have your model number to hand).
