Cleaning the condenser (condenser dryers)
- Please make sure you follow these instructions fully. If you have any problems with carrying out this maintenance, please contact us.
Always make sure that you switch off the electricity supply to your dryer before you start any maintenance.
If you find your condenser dryer is taking a long time to dry garments it could be that fluff has built up in and around the condenser. To keep your appliance running efficiently, it is recommended to clean your condenser regularly.
Check the user manual for details on how to do this with your specific dryer, but the steps below will give you some general guidance. - 1. We recommend that in order to keep your machine working efficiently, you regularly clean the filter and condenser.
- 2. The condenser is found at the bottom of your appliance. To remove the condenser, first remove the bottom cover from the front of the dryer by pressing the release clip (check the user manual for details on your dryer). Remove the condenser unit (often held in place by rotating securing clips), by pulling it towards you.
- 3. With the condenser unit removed from your dryer, run the unit under the tap to clean away any dust or debris.
- 4. Replace the condenser unit into the dryer, making sure that you lock it in place with any securing clips. Then replace the bottom cover, clipping it firmly back into place.
- If you have misplaced or lost your user manual, you can download a replacement manual (please have your model number to hand).
